Tarot Tap Inc. ("Tarot Tap", "We", “Us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect or that you may provide through: 

  • Tarot Tap mobile application ("App"); 
  • Our website located at https://www.tarot-tap.com/ ("Website"); 
  • Our social media pages, including on Instagram and TikTok (“Social Media Pages”); and 
  • Email, text, and other electronic communications with us (“Communications”). 

Together, we refer to the Website, App, Social Media Pages, and Communications as the “Services”). 

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy). 

Not Intended for Minors: The Services are not intended for individuals under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 13 years of age. If you are under 13 years of age please do not use the Services. 

Personal Information We Collect 

“Personal Information” is information that identifies an individual or relates to an identifiable individual. 

The Services collect Personal Information you provide, such as: 

  • Name 
  • Date of Birth 
  • Username 
  • Time and location of birth 
  • Gender 
  • Dating preferences 
  • Photos of you you may choose to upload 
  • Other information you may provide in tarot readings 
  • In-App purchase information and records. When you make a purchase through the App, your payment will be processed by Apple or their third-party payment processor. We do not collect or store your payment card details. Apple and any applicable payment providers process your payment information in accordance with their own policies 

In many cases, the information you provide is optional and up to you. However, some basic information such as name, date of birth and username are mandatory to use the App. Certain features may also be unavailable if you do not choose to provide the requested information.

You also may provide information to be published or displayed (hereinafter, "posted") on public areas of the Services, or transmitted to other users of the Services or third parties, such as in group readings and similar features (collectively, "User Contributions"). 

The Services may also collect information from you that does not directly reveal your specific identity or directly relate to an identifiable individual, such as your IP address, browser and device information, and usage data (“Other Information”) (please refer to Automatic Data Collection Technologies below for more detailed information). Unless stated otherwise in this Policy, we may use and disclose Other Information for any purpose. However, when we combine or associate Other Information with Personal Information, or are required to treat Other Information as Personal Information under applicable law, we will use, disclose and otherwise treat it as Personal Information in accordance with this Policy. 

How We Collect Information 

We may collect Personal and Other Information: 

  • Directly from you when you provide it or post it through the Services, such as when you create an account after downloading our App, post it in a chat, or send us an email. 
  • Automatically when you use the Services. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses, and information collected through cookies, web beacons, and other tracking technologies. 
  • If you connect your Google, Meta or Apple account to your Services account, you will share certain Personal Information from this account with us, for example, your name, email address and any other information that may be or you make accessible to us when you connect your account to your Services account. 

Automatic Data Collection Technologies 

When you access or use the Services, the Services may use technology to automatically collect: 

  • Usage Details. When you access and use the Services, we may automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the Services, including location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the Services. 
  • Device Information. We may collect information about your computer, mobile device, other equipment, and internet connection, including the device's unique device identifier, IP address, operating system, browser type, model, mobile network information, mobile device's telephone number, and information about the features of our Services you accessed. 
  • Stored Information and Files. The App also may access metadata and other information associated with other files stored on your device. This may include, for example, access to photographs and camera functionality. 
  • Location Information. We may collect the physical location of your device by, for example, using satellite, cell phone tower or WiFi signals. We may use your device's physical location to provide you with personalized location-based services and content (for example, in constructing your natal chart). We may also share your device's physical location, combined with information about what advertisements you viewed and other information we collect, with our marketing partners to enable them to provide you with more personalized content and to study the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. In some instances, you may be permitted to allow or deny such uses and/or sharing of your device's location through your device settings, but if you do, we and/or our marketing partners may not be able to provide you with the applicable personalized services and content. 

The technologies we use for automatic information collection may include: 

  • Cookies (or mobile cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on your device. There are lots of third-party online resources with more information about how cookies work, such as https://allaboutcookies.org/. 
  • Web Beacons. The Services may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit us, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain content and verifying system and server integrity). 
  • Mobile Device Access. We may obtain access or permission to certain features or information from your mobile device, including your device identifiers and mobile device's camera. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device's settings.

How We Use Your Personal Information 

We use Personal Information to: 

  • Provide our Services and its contents, including any interactive or other features available through our App. 
  • Market and promote our Services and offerings, including developing and disseminating marketing communications and campaigns and serving online ads, including interest-based and targeted ads. We may also use Personal Information to improve the quality and effectiveness of these activities. 
  • Personalize the Services, such as personalizing your readings and compatibility matching based on the information you provide. 
  • For analytics purposes, such as analyzing engagement and usage patterns, including how users find our Services. 
  • Improve the Services. 
  • Develop new services and offerings 
  • Enforce our rights and carry out the terms of our agreements. 
  • Notify you about changes to or updates to our Services. 
  • Carry out our general business purposes, such as fraud prevention, audits and security monitoring. 

Disclosure of Your Information 

We may disclose Personal Information that we collect or you provide to: 

  • Our subsidiaries and affiliates. 
  • Contractors and service providers we use to support our business. For example, our Services rely on third party AI service providers to generate readings, such as OpenAI. 
  • Social media platform providers and ad providers or networks to allow them to serve you with interest-based and other targeted online ads (on our Services and on third party sites, apps and other properties).   • To otherwise fulfill the purpose for which you provide it and to carry out your requests. 

If you choose to post User Contributions to the Services, you are choosing to disclose this information to third parties and/or make this information public. You do so at your own risk, and understand that we do not control the actions of any third parties who may have access to this information. 

Other Uses and Disclosures 

We may also use and disclosure your Personal Information: 

  • To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request. 
  • To enforce our rights, such as under our Terms of Service
  • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Tarot Tap, our users, or others. 
  • In connection with a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Tarot Tap’s assets. 

Third Party Services 

This Privacy Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, any third party, including through any application or content that may link to or be accessible from or through the Services. For example, we are not responsible for the practices of any hosting provider, analytics provider, app developer, app provider, AI provider, social media platform provider, ad provider or network, operating system provider, wireless service provider, or device manufacturer. These third parties may use cookies, web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our Services. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content. 

We do not control these third parties' practices with respect to the collection and use of information. If you have any questions or concerns about these third party practices, you should refer to the third party’s relevant privacy or other policy or contact the third party directly. 

Your Choices 

Where possible, we want to provide you with choices regarding the information you provide to us. This section describes mechanisms we provide for you to control certain uses and disclosures of your information. 

  • Cookies. You may be able to set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, some parts of the Services may then be inaccessible or not function properly. 
  • Mobile Device Settings. If you wish to change our access or permissions, such as to the transmission of location data, access to camera, or other device features or data, and push notifications, you may be able to do so in your device's settings. However, in some cases, doing so may make parts of the App inaccessible or not function properly, or you may not be able to access the App at all. 
  • Email Marketing. If you want to opt-out of receiving email marketing communications from us, please use the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email. 
  • Targeted Advertising. If we use targeted or interest based advertising, you may be able to opt-out of such ads by visiting and following the instructions at http://optout.aboutads.info/#/ and http://optout.networkadvertising.org/#/

We do not currently respond to browser do-not-track signals. 

Retention 

We will keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. 

Data Security 

We have implemented measures designed to secure your Personal Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Unfortunately, no transmission of information via the internet is completely secure. Although we take steps to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information transmitted through our Services. 

Changes to Our Privacy Policy 

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date this Privacy Policy was last revised is identified at the top of the page. Your continued use of the Services after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.
